In my weakness...I will still make my bed

This morning when I woke up I was feeling "achy and icky". I literally felt that I was doomed to stay in my bed for at least 24 hours or maybe even longer. I am sure many of us have felt like this at times.🤒🤕

But in the moment I felt my worst, God presented me with a THOUGHT that overcame my physical state of mind. It comes directly from His word:

Isaiah 43:16-20, I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick. "But forget all that- it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. The wild animals in the fields will thank me, the jackals and owls, too, for giving them water in the desert. Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland so my chosen people can be refreshed. ✝

And than if that wasn't enough, a friend sent me a word confirming God's message to me. Who controls your thoughts? Who has the power over life and death? Are your feelings greater than God's promises? And with that came another word directly from God's word:

Philippians 4:8, And now dear brothers and sisters, one final thing: "Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.✝

With that, I rolled my achy body out of bed, got on my knees, and instead of bracing myself for impact with a fiery dart from my enemy, I lifted my hands up to the Lord in thanksgiving and praise, and the fiery dart flew right over my head...HALLELUJAH!😃🎶🎶

So instead of lying in my bed all day, I got up and began making up the bed! Now that might not seem like a big deal to you but for my wife coming home and seeing our bed made just gives her such a sense of peace because it is one less thing that she doesn't have to be concerned about especially if her day has been a "messy" one. At least the bed is in order. My decision at the beginning of the day impacts my wife at the end of her day.😮🥰

I want to encourage you today as I was encouraged; be determined to capture those thoughts that want to entrap you and illegally seize you; do not let the enemy try to defeat you with his false accusations and lies; instead lift up your Shield of Faith and march out into your day boldly and confidently, thinking only of those things God wants you to set your mind on. Look closely at the list He has provided to you...it is full of supernatural goodness that will most definitely empower you and raise you up!

Now it is not easy to accomplish this in our own strength so ask the Holy Spirit for his help and make sure to find a fellow brother or sister in Christ, a Mighty Warrior, who will help you stand steadfast, unmmomvable, willing and ready to help you abound in the good work God is doing in you and than do the same for them(Philippians 1:3-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, and Hebrews 10:23-25).👊👊

Let us fight the good fight of faith TOGETHER and make up our beds in the process!🛡⚔🛡⚔
